Parents Raising Safe Kids parenting class

This program is design for parents of children, birth to 8 years old.
Parents Raising Safe Kids is an interactive parenting program that will help you:

• Understand your child’s behaviors, and the ages and stages of development
• Learn to use positive ways to discipline your child
• Learn to teach children how to control their anger
• Understand and manage your own angry feelings
• Learn to resolve conflicts with others in a positive nonviolent way
• Learn what you can do to reduce the impact of media violence on your child’s behavior
• Understand how children become involved with violence and the consequences

Mary Immaculate Family Focus is excited to offer the Nurturing parenting class!

The Nurturing Program is a nationally recognized parent education program that teaches highly effective parenting techniques. Nurturing is the foundation of strong and healthy parent child relationships. This program gives parents and caregivers the skills, knowledge and desire to enhance the quality of their family life. The program is for parents/caregivers of children age birth to five years old.


This program will address the following topics:

• Ages and stages of child development

• Setting boundaries and creating family rules

• Increasing self-esteem for both children and parents

• Behavior management techniques (redirection, punishment, ignoring, communication, praise, etc.)

• Developing nurturing routines

• How to handle ones own stress and anger

• Problem solving and decision making
