The Resource mothers program needs donations

The Holidays are quickly approaching and as we all cautiously make plans for purchases, please don’t forget those who need your help the most – Moms and their families. This year the Resource Mothers program is soliciting for donations of non-perishable food items and is conducting an “Angel Tree” effort to provide small gifts/clothing for our client’s children. We are requesting developmental toys for children between the ages of 0 and 2 years. This would include inexpensive toys such as blocks, bright color rattlers, board and toddler books, infant/toddler-proof balls (nothing they can chew on in pieces), etc. The Angel Tree cards will be posted on the door at both the Smith-Rogers Building office at, 358 Mowbray Arch, Suite 201, and our new office at 606 W. 29th Street – The Park Place Multi-service CenteIf you are interested and would like to make a donation, please either drop off your donation at either of these sites, or contact the Resource Mothers office at 683-9239 and we will make arrangements for a pick up. To make it more convenient, I will be happy to email to you information concerning the sex, age and size of a child for a toy or clothing donation. You can reach me by email at smithlm@evms.edu. All donations must be submitted by December 1, 2008.r. We currently have 90 families that we would like to provide a food basket and a gift for their child.
